In Hypernatural, every scene needs to have some dialogue or narration to generate properly—but you can still create a “silent” moment. The trick is to add narration as usual, then mute the scene’s audio so it plays without sound. This is perfect for:
-
Silent reaction shots
-
On-screen text / title cards
-
CTA (call-to-action) scenes
Step-by-step: Muting a Scene
-
Add your scene and narration
- Create your scene as usual and include a short line of narration or dialogue (this is required by the system, even if you don’t want to hear it).
-
Select the scene in the editor
- Click on the scene you want to mute in your timeline.
-
Select mute scene
Once muted, the scene will still render correctly but will play without audio—giving you a clean, silent moment or CTA screen while keeping the editor happy.

These articles cover the editor in the old Hypernatural experience, which is being phased out. See What's changing with Hypernatural for the exact timeline for your plan.
