One dry season, strange things began to happen in Umudara. Crops withered overnight, rivers turned muddy, and villagers heard mysterious cries coming from the Dark Forest. People became afraid to leave their homes. The village chief called for help. “Who will enter the Dark Forest and find the source of this evil?” he asked. No one answered except Emeka. “I will go,” he said. The next morning, Emeka packed his bag with food, herbs, and his magical staff. As he entered the forest, the trees seemed to whisper his name. Soon he met a talking parrot with bright green feathers.
