Around 300 BCE, Roman engineers discovered a mix of volcanic ash—called pozzolana—combined with lime and water. That was me, coming to life. The result? A building material so strong and durable, it allowed them to construct aqueducts, roads, and temples that still stand today. The Pantheon, with its massive dome, is one of my greatest triumphs.
