If you eat Jamaican food, you're eating St. Elizabeth. But drive through Black River, Santa Cruz, or Mountainside and tell me what you see. Pothole roads that destroy vehicles. Clinics with no medicine. Schools with leaking roofs. Farmers waking up at 3 AM to harvest crops they'll sell for almost nothing to middlemen in Kingston. Those same yams sell for three times the price in Liguanea. The farmer sees none of it.
