The time was 12:17 AM. I was walking alone on a road outside the village. People called it the Johui Road. Everyone said you should never walk there at night. I didn’t believe in stories back then. The air was completely still. No insects. No wind. Just… the sound of my footsteps. Then I heard it. Footsteps… behind me. I stopped. The sound stopped too.
