Prompt
Dark matter is called “dark” because it does not emit, reflect, or absorb light, so we cannot see it. One of the strongest evidence comes from galactic rotation curves. According to gravity, stars far from the center of galaxy should move more slowly. But observations show that outer stars move as fast as inner stars. This means there must be extra unseen mass surrounding the galaxy. Another evidence comes from gravitational lensing, where light from distant objects bends more than expected, showing that invisible mass is present.
