Several people who’ve stayed inside Leap Castle say they encountered something terrifying. Something they describe as not human. One of the most famous paranormal accounts at Leap Castle came from writer Mildred Darby in the early 1900s. Darby lived at the castle for a time and wrote about her experiences there. She claimed to have seen a strange creature inside the castle. According to her description, it appeared roughly human-shaped but extremely thin with a dark, shadowy body. She described its face as distorted and said the smell around it was overpowering. Darby referred to the entity as an “Elemental.”
