The Life Cycle of Stars: From Birth to Death

Prompt
Star death depends on a star’s mass. All stars shine by nuclear fusion, but when fuel runs out, they die. Small stars slowly fade and become black dwarfs after passing through the white dwarf stage. Medium-sized stars like the Sun expand into a red giant, shed their outer layers as a planetary nebula, and leave behind a white dwarf. Massive stars explode in a powerful supernova. The core then collapses into either a neutron star or, if extremely massive, a black hole.
