Mira’s mother was a weaver. She taught Mira to weave tenun ikat, cloth filled with stories of buffalo, the sea, and the strength of their ancestors. But Mira had a dream. She whispered to herself, “One day, I will weave the sunrise itself.” Then, a great drought came. The rivers dried, the fields turned brown, and the villagers began to lose hope.
