You've been brushing your teeth with bacteria. And the company still hasn't issued a recall. The FDA sent a warning letter to Tom's of Maine on November 5th, 2024. Here's what inspectors found. Bacteria in the water used to make toothpaste can cause lung and blood infections, and another bacteria linked to sepsis. This contaminated water was used to manufacture their Simply White Clean Mint Paste and to rinse production equipment from June 2021 to October 2022.
