Enkidu lived in the forest with animals. He ran with gazelles, drank from rivers, and knew nothing about cities or kings. One day, a hunter saw Enkidu and became afraid. He went to Uruk and told King Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh sent a woman named Shamhat to the forest to teach Enkidu about human life. After spending time with her, Enkidu slowly changed. He became more human and learned about the world. Soon, Enkidu traveled to Uruk. The Great Fight When Enkidu arrived in the city, he heard about Gilgamesh's power and arrogance. Angry, he challenged the king.
