(SCENE START) An old, scarred ARCTIC FOX limps across the endless ice. It carries a precious, frozen seal carcass. A younger, starving fox watches from a distance, too weak to hunt. The old fox stops. It looks at the younger one, then at the vast, empty white where its own pack once was. It drops the carcass midway between them. A clear offering.
