Long ago, at the edge of a small mountain village, there was a room with a single lamp. Each evening, a monk entered the room, lit the lamp, and sat quietly until the flame went out on its own. He did this every night, without fail. One night, a traveler noticed this and asked,“Why do you light a lamp just to watch it fade? The monk smiled softly and said, “I am not watching it fade.
