Who is Zeus? Zeus was the king of the gods in ancient Greek mythology, known as the god of the sky and thunder. His history begins with his birth as the youngest child of Kronos and Rhea, hidden by his mother to avoid being eaten by his father. He was raised and cared for by a nymph and a goat named Amalthea in Crete. As an adult, he rescued his siblings, overthrew his father in the Titanomachy, and later led the Olympian gods.
