Do I need a Hypernatural account to use MCP?

Yes. Connecting links MCP to your existing Hypernatural account and team — there's no separate account or sign-up.

Which team's videos and library does my assistant see?

Whichever team you're connected as. If you belong to more than one team, your assistant defaults to your most recently created one unless you tell it which team to use.

Do my teammates see videos I create through MCP?

Yes — a video created through MCP belongs to your team, the same as one created in the app. Anyone on that team with access can see and edit it.

Does this cost more than using the app?

No. Generation draws from your team's existing credit balance, and browsing your library or checking on a video is always free. See Credits and troubleshooting in MCP for details.

Which model does MCP use?

The same default as the app — Hypernatural's "Best" quality setting. If a video needs a specific model tier, ask your assistant and it'll tell you what's being used.

Can I render or export a video from my assistant?

No — MCP builds and edits your video, but rendering the final file and exporting always happens in the Hypernatural app. Your assistant hands you a link to finish there.

Can I revoke MCP's access to my account?

Yes, any time. Go to Profile → MCP Connections in Hypernatural to see everything currently connected and disconnect any of them. Disconnecting immediately stops that client from reaching your account.

Do I need a paid plan on my assistant's side too?

Some clients require one. ChatGPT's Developer Mode (needed to add MCP connectors) requires a paid ChatGPT plan — Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise, or Edu. Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex don't have an equivalent requirement beyond what each already needs to use tools/connectors at all.

Can more than one person on my team connect MCP at once?

Yes — each teammate connects their own assistant with their own Hypernatural login. Everyone's connection is independent, and each shows up separately under their own Profile → MCP Connections.

What can I do if my assistant seems out of date with a change I just made in the app?

Ask your assistant to check the video's current status again — it always reads live data, so a fresh request will reflect anything you changed in the app.

What's the difference between MCP and the Hypernatural API?

They're built for different kinds of use. MCP is for working conversationally through an AI assistant you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor — asking for a video and iterating on it by chatting. The Hypernatural API is for building your own integration — generating videos programmatically at scale, batching, or embedding video creation into your own product. If you're describing what you want in natural language through an assistant, use MCP; if you're writing code that calls Hypernatural directly, use the API.
